Within the town of Empordà, where our rural homes are located, noteworthy are the following:

La Bisbal d’Empordà: the main town of our region, known for its ceramic traditions, antique dealers, pastries and sausages.

Girona: Monumental city with a well cared for historical section, cathedral, church, great wall and museums, etc.

Figueres: the birthplace of Salvador Dalí, with its famous museum, complete with the museum located in the castle of Púbol.

Cap de Creus: the most oriental area of the Iberian Peninsula.

Cadaqués: surely one of the most charismatic Mediterranean seaside towns. The former home of Salvador Dalí is found here.

Empuriabrava: seacoast formed by an extensive network of channels making it one of a kind. The Catalonian Miami.

Aiguamolls de l’Empordà: humid area perfect for bird watching.

Empúries: ruins and the Iberian town of Ullastret.

Weekly outdoor marketss: Mondays in Torroella de Montgrí, Tuesdays in Palamós, fridays in La Bisbal d’Empordà and Sundays in Palafrugell.

Lonja de Palamós: fish auctions held from Monday to Friday at 5:00 p.m.

Calella de Palafrugell: the Costa Brava town whose beachfront area is best conserved. Also known for its festival of habaneras (sea shanties) which is held on the first Saturday of July.

S’Alguer: Truly charming seaside town that can only be entered on foot.

Les Gavarres: fantastic forests with holm oak, cork oak and pine trees, as well as farm houses scattered throughout this extensive mountain mass.
